KEN CRAWFORD

Biography

Ken is a retired elementary school teacher living in Thunder Bay, Ontario. His interest in art began at an early age with courses at High School and University. He has recently focused primarily on watercolour as his medium of choice. He enjoys the spontaneous and unpredictable nature of watercolour that always provides an exciting journey during the creative process.

As a landscape artist, his inspiration is found in the rugged and varied vistas along the north shore of Lake Superior and the surrounding forest. Ken displays his work at Gallery 33 on the corner of Balsam and River STs, Local Colour Art Gallery at The Picture Store on Red River Road and many of the galleries and shows run by Lakehead Visual Arts.

Ken has donated paintings annually to a variety of local fundraising events including The United Way, the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra, The Children's Centre and Roots to Harvest.
